ONLINE VIDEO GURUS SET TO KEYNOTE

The keynotes of MIPTVs Online Video track (April 8) will be given by Hulu CEO Jason Kilar and Brightcove CEO Jeremy Allaire. Whilst the head of NBC Universal and News Corps online video venture will share how online distribution channels can provide a compelling platform to generate revenue and reach new audiences, Allaire will explain how his company is helping others leverage online video to spur growth and development.

DAVID DE ROTHSCHILD GIVES GREEN LESSONS

Adventurer and environmentalist David de Rothschild gives MIPTV’s Green keynote April 7, 2008. Founder of socially conscious media and entertainment company Adventure Ecology, David has now teamed up with Nickelodeon UK to front multi-media initiative Nick’s Big Green Thing, which offers kids small tips to help make big environmental changes.

Content 360 CONTENT 360 ZAPPING SHOW AIMS HIGH

Thrusday 10 April, MIPTV’s cross-media festival climaxes at the Content 360 Zapping Show. Starting at 5.30 pm - host Ray Cokes and top-level 360° commissioners will provide you with an entertaining hour to laugh, listen, learn and discover the latest ideas in digital creativity and multi-platform innovation. All delegates welcome; for champagne afterwards too!

Peter Orton PETER ORTON MEMORIAL PRE-MIPTV

Peter Orton, founder and chairman of HIT Entertainment, died in December last year after a long struggle with cancer. A Service of Thanksgiving for his life will take place Friday April 4, at St Georges Church, London (14.30). All are welcome, but if you plan to attend, please send a message to pam@peterorton.com.
